State-by-state unemployment levels had only minor changes from May to June. Though 27 states saw increases month-over-month, year-over-year 47 states and the District of Columbia had unemployment decreases. Unemployment for June remained at 8.2% nationwide from May to June, but represents a 0.9% decrease from June 2011.
