The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a record high
of 14,250 on March 5, 2013 and eclipses its record closing high of 14,164 hit on
October 9, 2007. It did hit a low of 6,547 on March 9, 2009 at the height of the
financial crisis.
Due to Quantitative Easing announced back in November of 2008 and began in December of that same year, coupled with an expansion of the program in March of 2009, Stock prices have skyrocketed.
