Headline Homes: June 2012

On this list: A recording paradise in Leiper's Fork, the bosses of Emdeon and HCA's back-office unit, a budding winemaker, and more...

This was a busy month for seven-figure sales in the Nashville market. There were 24 homes in the greater Nashville area will price tags on the high side of $1 million. The monthly average in that price range between January and May was 15.
Despite the relatively heavy traffic among pricier abodes, the prices themselves are fairly average, topping out with a $3 million purchase of a sprawling equestrian estate.
Among the intriguing names this month is a long-time major leaguer selling and a few interesting looking trusts buying, proving that celebrities — or at least folks who can afford the trouble of forming an anonymous trust — like to move in the summer like the rest of us.
As always, this is a list of the top 10 single-family home purchases in June in Nashville and surrounding counties ranked by price.
