Leann Rimes reduces home to $6.29 Million

Country singer and actress LeAnn Rimes has now hoisted her huge custom-built home in Franklin, Tennessee on the market. The Real Estalker reports that Rimes and her husband, backup dancer Dean Sheremet, bought a 5.21 acre hunk of property in the gated Avalon community in 2006. The couple then built a 13,380 square foot mansion which they only finished at the start of this year. They previously owned and sold a home in Nashville, Tennessee.

The home has four bedrooms and includes public rooms on a grand scale including formal living and dining rooms, an expansive kitchen, large den, home theater and a second kitchen with a stone back wall which is shown in the listing pictures. Although the outside of the house has a faux English country look, the inside is modern and urban. The master suite is done in gray and white tones with a dark hardwood floor and the master bathroom features marble floors and a glass shower that looks out over the property. We don't have too many pictures but the home is also said to have a yoga room and wiring to allow a music studio to be installed. The furniture in the home doesn't seem to fit the scale of the rooms and it looks as if the couple never really got settled in, a case of either too much house or not enough marriage.

This home is listed at $6.29 million. Expensive but not the most expensive home for sale in the town. That would be Eagle's Nest Farm which was listed at $33 million last summer when it was our estate of the day but has been discounted to $29.5 million.

$27 Million - Most Expensive Home currently for sale in Tennessee

Mansion on 700 acres - Franklin TN

FRANKLIN -- A 27,000 square-foot mansion situated on nearly 700 acres is listed for sale for $27 million.

The estate, known as Eagles Rest Farm, was completed in 2002 for Gary and Portia Baker, for whom Bakers Bridge in Cool Springs is named.

Architect Scott Wilson designed the home in a Georgian style with Greek Revival elements and it was constructed by Tennessee Valley Homes. Eagles Rest Farm has four floors encompassing six bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 12-foot ceilings downstairs, 11-foot ceilings upstairs, bath areas in the master suite, and a formal dining room that seats 16. Several of the bedrooms feature breakfast bars and sitting rooms.

Other amenities are stables, a movie theater, a secluded log cabin, a 12 acre pond with a dock, and a nine car showroom garage. “We are honored to represent Eagles Rest Farm and its owners,” said Lawrence M. Lipman, owner of The Lipman Group. Real estate taxes...only $35,000 per year.

You too can own Dracula's Castle for only $135,000,000.00

Dracula's Castle - $135 Million
This home needs no introduction. Built in the 14th century, the castle is now a national monument and museum thanks to the legend surrounding it, which also needs no introduction. It has 57 rooms in total, including 17 bedrooms filled with antiques and historical artefact's. It wouldn’t do for the publicly shy Ira Rennert mentioned above, but for the quirkier billionaire, the 450 million tourists that visit every year may be worth it for living in Dracula’s castle.
